OLD SYSTEMS, MOVED AND TIDIED
Data migration & cleanup
The worst part of better software is the move. Records live in a tool you've outgrown, and between you and the upgrade sits weeks of exporting, cleaning, and re-keying nobody has time for. That's the part we take: we extract, clean, and land your data in the new system — verified against the old one before anything is switched off.
How it works
Small, verified steps — nothing hidden.
- Audit
- Clean & move
- Verify
Audit
We inventory what's really in the old system — including the fields nobody remembers filling in — and agree what moves, what merges, and what retires.
What you get
- A full export and audit of what you have today
- Cleaning: duplicates merged, formats fixed, dead records flagged
- The move itself, verified record-by-record against the source
- A rollback path, so nothing is ever one-way
For example
Years of customers, jobs, and invoices move from the software you're leaving into the one you're adopting — deduplicated, formatted, and verified against the source, so day one in the new tool starts with clean history.
QUESTIONS
Good things to ask
No — preserving history is the point. Anything that can't map cleanly into the new system is flagged and decided with you, never silently dropped.
Until you sign off, at minimum. We usually keep a read-only archive after that, so old records stay findable without paying for software you've left.
It's the normal case. Cleaning is built into the job — messy data is the reason to do this properly rather than copy the mess into a new home.
